We believe that the River is to be like God: safe to approach, deep, strong, refreshing and purposeful; a river flows where it will and without rivers our world would lack beauty, meaning, and vitality. Because the depth, strength, and vitality of our body flows from God, our first value is to be FILLED with God. John 4:13 reads:

"Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.' "

Secondly, we believe that we can only FLOURISH as we are planted next to Jesus Christ, like cities, forests or animals flourish next to the River. Psalm 1:1-3 states,

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither; whatever he does prospers.”

Finally, we believe that we are to FLOW into the world in the power of the Spirit, to heal and bless through word and deed. John 7:37-38 states:

"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”
