It is wonderful to see Jesus working in and through you! This has been such an AWESOME season ... especially when we look back a year ago and see what God has done! Many new individuals and families have come into The River and been blessed by the community God is forming here; Jesus has been lifted up through preaching, teaching, life groups, our relationships in the community. God is strengthening lives, transforming individuals, relationships and families. I have received many emails and comments to this regard. I see Jesus at work; I hope you do!
I am very thankful for you all. As Paul said, "you are my joy". I am blessed by you, my family is blessed by you. I thank God for the community here. We are of course, not perfect ... yes with struggles, doubts and challenges, but we are not alone.
Secondly, as we approach the passion and resurrection, I am thankful for the GOSPEL; the Good News of Jesus amidst the bad news of our sin. The Gospel is reaching out and I see it from person to person and as we surrender ourselves to the cross.
It is THIS Gospel that is our hope, our joy and our eternal calling.
