The River Internship
Anglicanism
The River is an Anglican church. Anglicans were English Reformers (similar to other Reformation movements of the 16th century) who have been numerically larger outside the US than inside. Famous Anglicans include George Washington, John Wesley, George Bernard Shaw, Franklin Denalo Roosevelt, Van Morrison, CS Lewis, Fred Astaire, TS Elliott and Judy Garland! Anglican Mission in the Americas (AMiA)
The River is connected with the Anglican Mission in America. The A.M.i.A. is committed to Scripture, Sacrament and the Spirit and has grown from 10 churches to over 150 in 9 years. In SC, NC, and VA, there are 28 AMiA churches, 25 of which were planted within the last 7 years. Christianity Today recently featured an article about Anglicanism.

Missions
First, we believe that we are ALL called to be missionaries as God's sent ones in the world. However, we are privileged to support several domestic and overseas missionaries as well as Land of a Thousand Hills' coffee.
The River Internship
At The River, we’re passionate about developing leaders in and for the next generation. People can grow in their leadership abilities through LIFE groups, through leading existing and new ministries and through our internship program.
The River Internship is intended to provide a 9-12 period for intensive growth in Scripture, theology, leadership, character, ministry experience and spiritual formation. The internship runs from September through May (for 9 month) or through August (for 12 month). Applications for the Internship will be accepted January through May for the coming year.
