What are the RSS feeds for The River?
What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. This is the technical term for the process by which you can view website content by subscribing to it in very much the same way that you would subscribe to a newspaper or magazine. Reading RSS content requires two things: 1) a (free) RSS reader and 2) at least one subscription to some content. Once you've downloaded your reader, you have the ability to view all of the website content that you subscribe to in one central location as often as it is updated.
What is an RSS reader?
An RSS reader is a program that you download for free that allows you to view content that you are interested in. In the same way that a website browser displays content from all of the millions of websites in the world, an RSS reader also displays website content: however, the big difference is that the RSS reader only displays the content that you have chosen to subscribe to.
How do I subscribe to RSS content?
You can usually do this one of two ways: you can click the RSS feed icon on the site that you wish to subscribe to or you can open up your feed reader and search for content that you would like to subscribe to. In both cases, the content that you subscribe to will be displayed in your feed reader. There are many free feed readers available for download. Some of the more popular ones are Feedburner, Google Reader, and Bloglines. A Google search for "RSS reader" or "news aggregator" will give you many additional options.
