Worship services

We worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00am at the Days Inn in Blacksburg.

What to expect

At The River, we sing contemporary choruses and hymns, we read Scripture, pray, and take communion.  We say prayers that are read such as the Lord’s prayer, but we are not very formal.  Here is a look at our order of service.

Services combine Biblical preaching, contemporary music, prayer and traditional elements lasting seventy-five minutes.  Directions are provided so the service is as clear as possible.

Kids elementary and below start at the 'caboose' (left of the hotel entrance) at 10am; children are brought back into the service before communion.  Middle schoolers begin worship with the adults, then are dismissed after the opening worship, returning with the other children.
