We're located right downtown in Blacksburg, so we're only a few blocks away from the VT campus. We have a lot of undergrads and grad students from VT, VCOM, Radford, and other schools in the area, and our students are involved in several campus ministries as well, including InterVarsity, Cru, YoungLife, Navigators, and more! We encourage our students to get involved here at The River as well with Men's and Women's groups, Life Groups, and volunteering. Contact Chris Meckley to find out how you can connect with our family!

Home Away From home

Home Away From Home is a program at The River that pairs 2-3 graduate or undergraduate students with a host family from The River. You will get together at least once/month for dinner, and it's a great way to connect with other people at The River. If you're interested in signing up, contact Chris Meckley today!

Sunday Afternoon Bible Study

This semester our study will look at the prophet Micah. How do we make sense of the Biblical prophets, and what do they have to say to us today? How can we apply their words to our lives? Sundays at 11:30 at The River's Edge. Light snacks will be provided.

Free University Student Lunches

Occasionally we host free lunches on Sundays at 11:30, immediately following our worship service. These lunches are open to all graduate and undergraduate students and their families and friends. Our next lunch is Sunday, February 5th and will be held at The River's Edge (above Souvlaki, corner of College Ave and Draper Rd).
